I do appreciate your viewpoint.
I'd imagine all involved would shun the 'hero' label. But so many 'average' people feel better when they have an inspirational person or deed to look up to. So I guess to be more accurate, we'll let those people use the term.

Meanwhile, the players involved can rest assured they did extremely well today, as was expected of them.
