I think this misses the point a bit. I agree the domestic leisure flyer, who is in Y on both WN and UA, wants WN fares, and may have to compromise on meal expectations as a result. But we are discussing C class pax here, who are most definitely not leisure flyers, and in many cases have paid $1000 for the seat, if domestic. Or connecting C class pax from Asia or TATL, on a domestic 3-class segment, who may have paid $6,000 for that seat. To give them a BOB box (even if free of charge, as was the ill-fated experiment) is not a compromise forced by market competition and WN's success - it's just stupid. Sorry if that seems blunt.
