Unfortunately, I've never eaten at a single one of those restaurants so I can't make any recommendations, but the latter list strikes me as exceptionally week.
I also called Bertucci's near DuPont (because the food is ok and I like the bars around there) and they told me they could accommodate us, but weren't especially convincing (e.g. "We don't take reservations, but you should call us....").
Your thoughts?
you should probably look for something outside of the core downtown area as the city is already gridlocked. check out dining under washingtonian.com or washingtonpost.com - the top 100 best / cheapest are on the former site
