I went to the site and here it is what they say: New Aquapura, in Itacaré, na Bahia: stoped by Ibama (Brazilian institute to preserve nature).
The works on site are now stopped, and rumors say that the owners are with financial problems.
The Anouska Hempel project is now mentioned as an hangar for UFOs !!!
It should be opened in 2008 but now no one knows when it is going to be...

I also heard from a trusted source that Adrian Zecha visited the site last October by invitation of the owner Diogo Vaz Guedes. They want AZ to open an Aman there, but Aman Resorts never opens a resort when the project is not made from the start by them (well it is Anouska Hempel a friend of Zecha...)
