If they didn't know about the handset's features, well that would be a different story.
I would've thought they will know whether the phone will FUNCTION or not if a different SIM card from the same carrier is inserted? They are also selling Iphone as a package, therefore they SHOULD know the plans.
ALSO I find their knowledge (even in the Genius Bar) is not that good and often they will jsut tell u to restore the phone or make up some BS excuse.
