If we're talking about domestic, I'd suggest that flyforsports would be even more pleasantly surprised by domestic J - it really makes you realise how rubbish domestic F is on AA (ah, but the SC's are lovely!)

flyforsports - unless you've found some availability already, you're probably out of luck - I'm not seeing any available premium award seats right at the moment for either LAX-SYD or MEL-LAX. International whY isn't too bad really, and it's pretty decent when compared to other carriers long haul whY services (the Cadbury hot chocolates are awesome!)

As a oneworld sapphire, you should be able to land yourself in the front part of the whY cabin if seating is still open for your return flight - call QF and ask. If you're on QF93, it's scheduled to be an A380 - recommended Y seats are listed in an excellent post from serfty here.
