I have a potentially silly suggestion, but this might work.
There is a luggage storage facility at LHR (not sure if it is still at T4 but they are definitely at other LHR terminals). Go and drop off your large case at the crack of dawn (before the rush hour) on that day, and then catch the tube or whatever the best means of transport to get to the office. Then you can comfortably catch the tube and get there in time after 5pm.
I think they charge £6.50 per case for up to 24 hours.
