I agree with the previous poster that when trying to open the account online it automatically bundles it with the checking account. The alternative is to open the account over phone.

I was given the number 800-745-1534 (option 2) by the customer support specialist. Just mention to the person opening the account that you want a stand-alone individual Ultimate Savings account. You can fund the account using your Credit/Debit card.
