Earlier, I promised I would look into this for you and report back on what I was able to learn. Our hotels have been instructed to maintain the published standards. These standards have not changed since the economic downturn, nor are we closing lounges in an effort to save money. We will continue offering concierge lounge access to Gold and Platinum members as stated in our terms and conditions of elite membership.

With that said, many of our hotels have consistently gone above and beyond, "brand standards" in order to serve you better. Along with the instruction to maintain the same published standards, hotels were also encouraged to not “over achieve'”, (including keeping concierge lounges open on weekends) unless market conditions warrant a change. In short, this is why many of you are noticing that some properties ' offerings are not as rich as you may have received in the past.
