sorry i cant be of more assistance. this is just one way on how icc differs from us centurion. with 250k in 12-month spend and pay, along with 5k and 2.5k per year, getting us centurion isnt too difficult.
but, 2% is a number that is meant to be ambiguous on purpose. i do suspect that the top 2% is a lot more than just 250k.
did amex ask for a reference or did they ask for a bank guarantee?
if you are looking to move to the icc centurion product, i would suggest two things: a. call up plat/cent and advise that you would like to move up and that they have already taken a reference from your private bank (is it an icc partner?) and ask what else may be required.
obviously, b. is to get your private bank to co-ordinate with amex, if it is an icc partner. your banker will send you the apps, return it to him/her and they will forward to amex uk on your behalf with their signatures and approval.
