It is noted in the FAQ; you do need to call and have them remove and add back your OnePass number to get the elite status to reflect correctly for reservations made without any status.

Also, PTY is EUA-eligible, so make sure you split the PNR (if you made the reservations together) and you've got a pretty good chance of getting the upgrade headed down there.

For all the flights you can actually get exit rows using your platinum status while your wife's silver status only gets you in the same 31" pitch seats at the front of the cabin.
