AA charges fee to send you Itinerary & Receipt?
We have OW award tickets which have changed a few times (dates & flights).
When the itinerary was first ticketed, the Print Itinerary and Receipt button was there, so I can print a Clean copy with ticket numbers and taxes paid.
The itinerary has AA being the First and the Last segment. I know if AA is not the First segment, you would not even see Print Itinerary and Receipt function from the beginning. But this itinerary did have that function after initial ticketing.
After the re-issuance of tickets, the button now is Print Itinerary only - no more receipt is available online, despite on one re-issuance, there were small additional taxes charged.
I did receive emails on the reissued e-tickets - but there are lots of annoying advertising junks on the sidebar. I much prefer the Clean copy you can print on AA.Com.
When talking to Websupport, he acknowledged the issue of Print Itinerary only, but said only AAdvantage agent can send me a receipt, probably with fee. The AAdvantage agent I talked to, also said there will be a fee to send me Itinerary and Receipt.
I remember in the past you can still request a receipt printed at the counter, at no charge. In fact, that was what the web support suggested to me earlier last year when we had an award that was originated in Europe with IB being the first segment.
So is this charge for printing Receipt something new? Or they treat it as re-ticketing? There is No re-ticketing is required, simply the last receipt.
