It always makes me go 'ewww' when I see/smell this (I often smell it before I see it).

I think they should use make a hole in the area on the bulkhead where people tend to put their feet, so that they just can't do it

I was on a recent flight where the guy seated in 1D (this was on one of the European short-haul flights but at 3 hours, it was long enough) took his shoes off before take-off and put his feet up on the bulkhead. As I was starting to feel troubled by the smell, the purser went up to him and asked him to put his shoes on for take-off. Unfortunately the relief was short-lived as he promptly took them off after take-off, put his feet on the bulkhead and did not put the shoes back on until he was asked to do so by the purser again shortly before take-off. It wasn't exactly a pleasant flight even though I was seated across the aisle. It made me wonder how it would have been if I had been seated next to him

Mixed with the smell from the loo, I then decided that 1C is not a good seat. Bulkhead feet smell + loo smell = BAD.
