My family of four flew HNL-KOA-HNL a couple weeks ago on award tickets that we had gotten through United back when they were only 5K miles each. I was a bit concerned before our flights, but they were a great little airline to fly on.

Our flight from HNL to KOA was the morning after the blackout on Oahu on December 26th, and I thought for sure they would cancel all the flights, or at a minimum they would delay things considerably. There was generator power at the airport, but they had no access to their computer systems. Somehow, our morning flight was only delayed a couple of minutes. All the staff we encountered were great, very helpful, courteous, and efficient. I would not hesitate to fly them again.

I have flown both Hawaiian and Aloha in the past and our experience was at least as good as those.
