Consider this: I was using a Continental Club pass recently in Houston and my wife and I were traveling together. When I presented the pass, the agent advised me that the complimentary pass was for the person named only and I couldn't bring my wife in! I looked at her and said "you've got to be kidding me!" But she stood her ground on the basis that Club memberships are individual or joint with spouse and the passes sent out are only for the use of the person named to entice him/her to join. I advised her that I was a member of the USAirways Club and they always allow you to bring in a guest. She then stated that they allow that to membrs, but since I wasn't a member and using a Pass the same privileges did not apply. Needless to say, I left the Club with my wife dragging me out the door by my elbow!
