Last Easter I tried to use a Club Pass in PIT after a red-eye. I honestly didn't realise it had expired. But the agents wouldn't budge here either. I mean it was around 6am and there were probably 2 other folks in there. Facing a 3 hour layover, I used one that hadn't expired.
