The club reps cut you no slack. I recently was in LAX 2 hrs early and then had a layover of 1 1/2 in PHL. There were only 2 people in the club and she was alone at the desk. I know the pass is a one entry pass and not a day pass. I told her of my situation and asked if the pass was a day pass. Hint, hint.... I was hoping for the response of "I won't collect the pass but give it to them in PHL". However, I got the reponse of "you need 2 passes". The pass is good for 2 people and I was alone. It would have all evened out but she went by the book.
I have no complaints since those are the rules. However, a little bending of the rules would have been nice and would have only cost them 2 crackers and a diet coke.
