I've never had problems from Firefox or Safari. The thing I religiously do before I visit each site through the estore is to go into preferences of either App, seek out where the cookies are stored and search for, Debenhams.com, for example. And delete all cookies. One of those could easily be from an advert clicked, and commission could go to them instead of the estore account.
