The delta website says you can upgrate using 5000 miles for full coach fare , or 10000 miles from select fares. I should assume the Y class means full coach and BM are the select fares. If this is the case I might as well just use the 45000 miles for the free first class ticket . Upgrading on AA last year was a lot easier.
