As a personal preference, I prefer a hamburger. When I have a cheeseburger, I feel more than one slice of cheese is overkill, because I can't taste the meat and other ingredients.

I'm with you on this. I never ever order a cheeseburger ANYWHERE that uses American cheese. I order Big Macs w/o cheese. On very rare occasions I will have Swiss or blue cheese if offered. It's not that I particularly dislike American cheese, just that it totally ruins a hamburger.
