First time flying on an overnight Toronto to Paris on AC's Boeing 777-300ER in business class and need some help on seat selection for two people.

Seat Guru suggested two people would be best in seats 2 K and 3 G but when selecting those seats the agent said they wouldn't be side by side. The configuration she was working on (with lie flat beds) shows all the seats in a straight row, but Seat Guru shows them not that way. AC agent suggested 2 K and 2 G, or similar, would be better.

Also concerned about selecting different rows like that in case AC changes metal for that flight ... then for sure we'd be in different rows.
