As a new member of HHonors (current Marriott Plat, but going to loose it due to the high price of NYC Marriotts)I'm in the middle of my second two-week stay in the brand new Hampton Inn Soho, and very impressed with the hotel. The staff is extremely friendly, the rooms are small but nicely-appointed, and the location is perfect - right between A/C/E and 1/2/3 subway lines, plus easy walking distance to the Village, SOHO, Tribeca, and Financial District. And, rates are in the $175/nt range with taxes.
