I am planning to attend the next April Canton Fair in Guangzhou and I noticed that China Marriott Hotel is having very competitive rates in comparison to other hotels like Ritz Carlton or Grand Hyatt almost 50% less.

Has any fellow members stayed there and experience that hotel ? Is it a good hotel and the location is fine and is it near the market and resturants ? Is the area around the hotel is safe after the closure of the exhibition hall next to the China hotel ? Would you recommend I stay there and take advantage of the very special rates or just ignore that and enjoy better hotels in the area ? Please provide as much inputs as possible.
