I have heard talk of a leaked Waterworld memo doing the rounds today. It apparently proposes that one new way to increase yields in these difficult times will be to implement a new policy requiring certain Y and W pax to purchase an extra adjacent seat at full fare. Apparently it will be spun as stemming from new IATA regulations about chips being a hazard if left on shoulders in flight, and thus requiring their own paid, assigned (but not necessarily pre-assigned) seat…
