As ever seems a "middle-of-the-road" policy like CO's might work better in todays environment. BA's new seating policy seemed a very extreme one to me - works great if you were already a G or S status member but offered little to attract regular premium pax from rivals over.
Lets see if any changes are made.
If they did that it would certainly make my life easier. I wouldn't need to worry about maintaining status and could switch some of my BA flights away to cheaper carriers. Status driven seat selection is a very strong driver for me to fly with BA.
