I remember reading something about renovations (is this why there is no facility right now?) in this thread but did not pick up on all of the details. Will this last into the fall? Is there any alternative place to workout nearby that will be complimentary for guests? Does this affect any other parts of the hotel significantly?

Folks, I just reserved GH, but now am wondering whether we should go to County Hall if we want a good state-of-the-art workout facility? How are do the rooms / upgrade possibilities (as a plat on an award stay) vary between the two properties? Or should we look elsewhere if this is important to us?

I think I remember reading at least one of the central London properties has a very nice swimming pool - which properties offer one that one can actually swim in (that is, is large enough to really swim)? (I assume most Marriotts in London, like most other hotels there, don't have a swimming pool at all).
