She tried to price some CO options and they we crazy high, partly because of the late date and availability.
I was totally unaware that CO has only certain, very limited flights that are NWA codeshare and that others weren't. I always thought that it was totally reciprocal on all NWA/CO flights like it now seems to be w/Delta and NWA.
Does anyone know if it has always been this way w/CO? Have the code share flights been diminishing on CO aft. the Delta merger? Is the info even correct?
The lesson I learned is to look in on the CO web site as well as the NWA site before buying tickets from now on. As a NWA Plat I can still be upgraded, get points, etc. on CO metal I evidently just can't buy tickets on NWA.COM for most CO flights. Seems like an oddly disfunctional relationship and terribly inconvenient for us passengers.
I will definitely never understand this business and it's no wonder so many are in such financial trouble. Who thinks this stuff up???
In my own experience even before CO's announcement of leaving Sky Team for * Allliance, the CO codeshares were not plentiful on NW.COM and always priced out for me reasonably poorly. Given the EQM issue, I always was careful about CO metal anyway, but when I wanted a CO flight, I always just booked it at CO.COM anyway which is pretty user friendly itself. YMMV of course!
Safe Travels.
