Travelling to LAX on 26th Dec in First, the 1A and 1K were occupied by a mother and her young son, whilst the mother had her baby with her in her seat. The nanny was in 2K, and the father in 2A.
The problem was the baby wouldn't stop crying, and the mother insisted on walking up the aisles ssshhhing it, disturbing other passengers. I managed about 2 hours light sleep out of a 11 hour flight

My experience is that babies and small children in premium classes is much more likely over the holiday season.
Flew back ourselves from ANU the night before last and the CW cabin (no F on this route) was as always at this time of year stuffed with family groups with 2-3 small kids.
Having said that, most were immaculately behaved although the only ones who weren't were next to us of course. However, the two whiny children of about 3 and 5 were infinitely less annoying than their mother who kept up a loud running commentary: "Now sit down in your seat, in a minute we are going to be driving along the runway and then, whoosh, the plane will take off and we will be in the sky, isn't that amazing, and then we will make your seat into a bed by pressing that button - no don't press it now -- in a minute I will give you a lollipop then you can suck it when the plane flies into the air and it will stop your ears from hurting -- no you can't have the lollipop yet -- oh all right then you can have the lollipop but not open it -- do you see that sign there it means you must fasten your seatbelt let me show you how -- oh all right then you can open the lollipop as long as you don't press the button again that makes you seat into a bed. Oh did you feel that how exciting the plane is now whooshing along the runway and up up up into the big sky..."
This and similar went on for several hours each end of the flight... Give me a crying baby any time. At least the baby doesn't realize it might be disturbing anyone.
