DL pluses:
-- You get tiny water bottles in FC plus a small pillow and blanket.
-- In business, the duvets are nicer than the blankets on NW, the pillows are larger, and the amenity kit is a step up. Oh, and service and food quality is better (in my limited experience).

Exactly. They're just a way to make you purchase an expensive coach class fare. On the other hand, NW's SWUs (usable on any published fare) are truely a perk, although you only get 2 after flying 120K miles, plus 2 more every 40K thereafter!
