assuming you mean EXP (executive platinum) quickly, there are only two ways...


Fly a lot or fly expensive.


You can figure out with farecompare where AA flies to from NYC that is cheap to rack up the miles. and just spend a good week or two flying and you will have 100 segments.

Or fly a few times to Europe for the things you forgot to pack and get 14,000 miles roughly per trip. You should spend some time in the MR forum and learn how to route yourself like this: JFK-BOS-ORD-LAX-DFW-MIA-MAD-LHR


Or a few F/J class seats will get you there too, I think you need about 67,000 miles that way.

On the compensation part, there is a thread on that too. But the short of it is... email customer service, be polite, and tell them what you would like to have done.. bonus miles or voucher...
