The quickest route to EXP would be to purchase the "prepaid travel card" [if AA offers them this year] It costs $25,000 US but it comes w/instant EXP status.
Barring that, you need to fly on AA earning flights. High fare tickets (paid F/J) will get you 1.5 pts/mile so 67,000 BIS will = EXP.

2. Before Christmas I was flying SEA/JFK in F. Flight was eventually cancelled (after three hours on the tarmac), and I legged it across the airport to get an Alaska flight to LAX and then to JFK from there (proper domestic first). Arrived home at 1am the following day instead of 5pm the same day plus lots of hassle/close connections. Then yesterday I was due to fly SKB/JFK (business) at 5.50pm - eventually left at 10am this morning. Can I ask for some kind of compensation/miles? If so, to whom should I address all of this?
What was the reason given for the delays?
