1. So I moved to NYC from London seven months ago. Maintaining my BA Gold (GGL)/OneWorld Emerald status is important to me, so when I have flown AA (sometimes coach, sometimes business, sometimes first) I use my BA card. Question: how can I get to EP level super-quickly?

2. Before Christmas I was flying SEA/JFK in F. Flight was eventually cancelled (after three hours on the tarmac), and I legged it across the airport to get an Alaska flight to LAX and then to JFK from there (proper domestic first). Arrived home at 1am the following day instead of 5pm the same day plus lots of hassle/close connections. Then yesterday I was due to fly SKB/JFK (business) at 5.50pm - eventually left at 10am this morning. Can I ask for some kind of compensation/miles? If so, to whom should I address all of this?
