The museum is a bad building containing many, many wonders. The opportunity to see King Tut's regalia and the mummy room is not to be missed. 2 hours is plenty for a visit, you can always wander over to the nearby Hilton for a drink if bored.

Sakkara is another pyramid field. Interesting and hassle free, but the museum comes first if you only have one day.
