Surely the teddy bear of a first class passenger would need its own seat? Or his ski boots are too precious to go in the hold? Maybe Teddy HH (borrowed from nephew) would solve the issue!

We're going to try the "turn up and beg method" having had no joy on the phone. There's still availability, so I'll be at the ticket sales desk tomorrow, armed with my laptop

Update: availabilty no longer showing, though ExpertFlyer shows the same number of F/CW seats unsold....are Award flights not sold after OCLI opens?
