OneWorld has 70% of the LHR-NYC flights and thats a monopoly..Star has up to 85% of the FRA-CHI flights and thats not a monopoly...Go Figure

I found nothing that says a BA fllight number from ORD-MAN will give u AA miles.

Seems like Skyteam DL,CO,NW,AF have special political dispensation for monopolizing CDG
Seems like Skyteam DL,CO,NW,KL have special political dispensation for monopolizing AMS
Seems like Star team UA, LH, AC, US have special political dispensation for monopolizing FRA

AA has not made the correct political contributions, yet.
