Ah but I didn't leave the airport in my Aden turnaround. A turn in AYQ not leaving the airport is trivially easy and could be done with 20 minutes provided you could guarantee the same a/c each way (and already checked in for the return).

In the time you have you could drive part of the way rather than all the way to Uluru, but why bother?

OT but I have another tricky transit yet to update in my report thanks to a significant delay and the practicalities of entering & exitting that other particular country.
