you forgot to mention that the unwritten rule of flying PR is that as soon as anyone behind a desk at the gate picks up a phone or microphone to make an announcement it is a bit like lining up for lifeboats on the Titanic and gate agents are trained to think, " I am not paid enough to fight this lot off "
Oh and dont forget that an Phillipino / Indonesians idea of hand luggage is a sack full of his worldly belongings including his tool kit and you try explaining to him that you are trying to get to the front because you are in busness class and they will look at you like you just came off another planet. In their minds they just spend a greater % of their anual income on a ticket than you did and its their right to get on before you do.
