I'm finding it difficult to get a straight answer on that information here, it may be that the line staff don't know the schedule. I think your best bet is to e-mail the hotel directly and ask, at least that way you'll have it in writing if you run into problems later.
I did ask a local (Beijing) friend yesterday about night construction and they confirmed that it is common in business areas. It's not allowed in residential zones, but apparently the hotel is in an area zoned for mixed use.
