A friend is going with me, AA123 DFW-HNL on a 763, in a couple of weeks. I'd like to U/G both of us using eVIP or stickers. Right now I see no A availability on expertflyer.com for eVIP, and it's too early for sticker U/G. On the seat map, I see 15 seats available.

My current strategy is that I requested sticker U/G for both of us, and requested "both or none" option. My desired solution would be to use eVIP for my friend and sticker for me (I'm EXP).

Does AA usually release A for eVIP and X for sticker one at a time, or more than one at a time? Are they likely to release A before they release X?
