We recently had several dinners in the Napa and Sonoma area. Briefly, our experiences were as follows -

Geyserville - Santi - one of the best Italian restaurants we have ever eaten in. Best salad I can remember. Osso buco fantastic. Panna cotta dessert also excellent. Great atmosphere, wonderful service. Highly recommended.

Yountville - Redd - outstanding. Best meal of the trip. Would go back in a second.

Yountville - Bouchon - excellent. Three out of 4 dishes (2 appetizers, 2 main courses) were excellent, fourth was good but not great. Crowded (tables very close together) and noisy, but if you know that's what it's like and are expecting it, not a problem.

Napa - Angele's - very good. Quite informal but overall good (not outstanding) food. If the weather is nice, they have a great outside patio overlooking the river.
