Maybe the hotel may not see the logic in - "I booked the RC with points and I am a diamond so I therefore deserve a harbour view." How sad would you be if you were given a non-view room for 22K per night. For me having access to the RC is the most important thing since the club is IMO one of the best in the world. If I spent regular points and was given a non-view RC room I would consider myself lucky to even get up into the RC. There was a time several years ago when they would not upgrade diamonds so they could sell the RC rooms and would not even give you access to the club if not on the FC floor. I think overall things have changed.
