For the south of Chile or Argentina, May is way too late. For EZE/SCL, you could have weather that nice, or it could be cold and wet. I was in EZE around Memorial Day and it was about 20 when I got here (for the high) and was about 13 for the high a few days later. The south of Chile (mid-south - lakes region) is typically about 18-22 for summer highs. Sometimes it is warmer, but rarely much warmer. I have no experience with the Argentina south of Mar del Plata.
