I posted our first T5 CCR experiences on the other CCR thread. FWIW I thought the service in the restaurant was fine (although admittedly I didn't have high expectations given the experience in T4 and to a lesser extent T1). The quality of the food however was poor, I mean how can you screw up eggs benedict? I think 4 of us ordered that when we were there and all but one arrived overcooked. This to me suggests a served buffet arrangement rather than genuine cooked to order. Also for the bookmakers sandwich when did a "minute steak" ever consist of fajita style steak slices?
The service elsewhere apart form the very pleasant (and attractive) bar staff was very very poor. We have had better service in the Flounge and that isn't a particularly high water mark. There is also a marked contast between the well thought out lounge decor and the cheap and nasty bathrooms. One easy issue to solve is to provide a lot more power points so that more seats are available to those of us wishing to use our laptops and not entirely believing that the onboard laptop power will operate "as advertised".
