Northwest is giving silly prices, about 5 times the Delta price!, and I would prefer to avoid a 757 on the Transatlantic sector which rules out Continental and DUB-JFK with Delta.

I called Delta and their "cheapest" is $50 more expensive than what I'm getting on the website.
o.k., that is an insane routing with TWO stopovers, no wonder you get such pricing

go with *A if you can get such an incredible pricing with 2 stopovers!
