Do stops on "direct" service increase the continent count?
I'm considering QF9, which is marketed as MEL-LHR. In reality, the flight stops in SIN before continuing on to LHR. Assuming I don't otherwise hit Asia, does the stop in SIN "count" as a continent?

I remember reading somewhere that for segment purposes this should only be one segment. Can someone please confirm that as well?
