T5 are dealing withb BA's pax only - LGW North are dealing with the EasyGhastlies and can say and behave as they like.
If anyone started shouting like that - I would go mute - call it dumb insolence. Whe asked "can't you read?" I reply "No" in my best Little Girl wonder voice. HI says that when he hears that he starts to quake. Once through the degredation that is security - who i find usually quite amenable whe you get to them. I go and find who is supposed to be in charge and let him/her have it with both barrels. It may not make a whit of difference but then letting off steam about here doesn't either. I do feel better afterwards though!
I had another great experience with the T5 staff on Monday. I took off my fleece and put my passport and boarding card on top of it as instructed. I went through and set the alarm off. Had to be scanned and all done very politely and thanked for my co-operation. Went to get my stuff out of the bins and my boarding card was gone. They all went on hands and knees to find it and the next thing is a security gaurd came over and passed it to me.
Another passenger had found it on the floor as it had been knocked off the top of the fleece by the rubber flaps that hang down, it then fell between the rollers and onto the floor.
All in all the staff were really happy, jolly and polite.
