Yet another Dublin pub question

I'll be going to Dublin for the first time at the end of February and researching the pubs near the hotel where I am staying in the Southside near Trinity College. I'm looking for a somewhat relaxed traditional pub. I'm past the age where I'm looking for thrumming bass-filled music and yelling at my friends while the bar is packed seven deep. Decent pub grub would be a bonus.

A few that may be good possibilities are:

O'Neills on Suffolk
The Duke
O'Donoghue's (used to be Thingamote) on Suffolk
O'Donoghue's (on Merrion Way, maybe the place to watch the rugby match?)

any thoughts on these?

thanks!
