I was boarding my first 'First" flight yesterday when I was sent to queue for a 'random' security check on the jetway. I am not sure if these things are random or not but I am sure that they are even more pointless if they are random. I have to say that it rather marred the 'First' experience for me.

If BAA doesn't think its main security check is sufficient, it should do what Orly does and have a second security line just before boarding. A few superficial pat downs and desultory bag searches are just going to annoy people.
