Does DL reward their FFers for flying beyond the top qualification level? Any thought that they might adopt a plan such as NW has?
Delta incentives for flying in excess of 75k miles are a joke... The have what are known as "Medallion Threshold Rewards", which in 2008 included:

* at 100,000 MQMs: 15,000 bonus miles.
* at 125,000 MQMs: 20,000 bonus miles.
* at 150,000 MQMs: 25,000 bonus miles, or one year Crown Room Club membership.
* at 175,000 MQMs: 25,000 bonus miles, or other exclusive gifts

The way I redeem my miles (mainly companion tickets for my wife and son) I typically save about $1 for each 100 miles redeemed. Thus for me these rewards are roughly worth between $150 and $250. IMHO the SWUs offered to United 1k members, Northwest EEPs, and American EXPs are a lot more generous since they allow you to upgrade from virtually any fare on transatlantic flights (Y B M fares are required by Delta) and each SWU can potentially save you $2k (or even more).

Because of Delta's Y B M fare requirement on transatlantic flights, some have been suggested that Delta's PMU really means Pretty Much Useless...

I think there is very little at DL to keep you from flying after reaching 75k miles. If you fly a lot it is more logical to buy tickets on another airline and qualify for elite there.

It might be a dream, but if DL offered 2 real SWUs at 100k MQM and another 2 every 40k miles or so (similar to NW EEPs), I think many PMs would fly more on DL after 75k, and possibly some UA and AA 100k+ fliers (like you) may even choose to take DL. I think that DL needs to do something to compete with UA 1k and AA ExP benefits which are better for 100k+ fliers.
