So, Canarsie, are you suggesting that the description of Miles Buzz be changed to read:

"Discussion of the latest frequent flyer program buzz, which is not specific to one particular airline"?

Is this definition consistent with the understandings of the Moderators?

I was thinking more along the lines of:

Discussion of the latest general frequent flyer program buzz.

I do not know whether this definition is consistent with the understandings of the moderators; it is merely my personal understanding — and I most certainly could be wrong.

For example, if someone posted in here, “What are the benefits to Gold Medallion status versus Silver Medallion status in the Delta SkyMiles program”, this should be posted in the Delta forum to not only receive a better-informed answer to that question, but also not to clog up MilesBuzz! with topics not particularly interesting to a general, broader population of FlyerTalkers (actually, pinniped stated this more eloquently in the post immediately above this post). If someone who is not a SkyMiles member was really interested enough as to what the answer of that question should be, that person would take the time and effort to go to the Delta forum.

On the other hand (I used flipside already!), if someone asked for the latest comparison between AAdvantage Platinum, SkyMiles Gold Medallion and OnePass Gold Elite because of the recent changes in these programs, MilesBuzz! would be the appropriate place to post.

Like I said — I could be wrong.

On the third hand (yes, I wrote this on purpose!), perhaps MilesBuzz! should not be the first forum in the top-left corner of the FlyerTalk forum page, as many people naturally read from top-left to bottom-right, thereby giving MilesBuzz! its notorious popularity, especially amongst new FlyerTalkers.
